Materials to make a queen size quilt (89 1/2" x 99 1/2")
- Refer to the book for fabric color suggestions.
- 22 fat quarters of assorted prints for blocks and appliqued leaves
- 6 fat quarters of assorted red prints for blocks and appliqued hearts
- 1/2 yard each of 8 assorted light prints for blocks
- 3 yards light print for border
- 3 yards green for inner border, appliqued vine, and binding
Materials to make a small quilt (39" x 49")
- 12 fat quarters (3 red, 2 light green, 2 dark green, 2 blue, 2 gold, 1 brown)
- 2 yards light background fabric
- 1/2 yard green for inner border and vine
- 1/4 yard red for binding
Class Supplies
- Basic sewing supplies
- Rotary cutter, mat and ruler
- Sewing machine and extension cord for first half of class
- Thread to coordinate with your light fabrics
- Full bobbin of thread for your machine
- Thread to match applique fabrics
- Hand sewing needles
- Small scissors
- Fabric marking pencil (silver recommended)
- 12" square of freezer paper
- 5 1/2" square of template plastic (measure and cut accurately)
- Little bag for trash
Before Class:
- Wash and iron all fabrics.
