Materials
- 8" square of background fabric
- 3" square of lightweight fabric for small gathered blossom (blue, purple or yellow)
- 1 1/8" wide x 30" long strip of fabric, cut on the straight grain, for large gathered flower (pink, red, yellow)
Solid fabrics work well for sample flowers, rather than multicolored calico fabrics.
Class Supplies
- Baltimore Bouquets book (available in class)
- Thread to match or blend with flower fabrics
- Your favorite applique needles
- Thimble
- Paper scissors
- Fabric scissors
- Straight pins
- Sharp pencil
- Fabric marker that will show on fabric strip
- 4" square of freezer paper
- Little bag for trash
Before Class:
- Wash and iron all fabrics
- Cut strip of flower fabric 1 1/8" wide x 30" long.
